Sexuality Workshop Today

By Daniel Zantzinger

Enhance the enjoyment of intimate relationships by applying principles offered at Susan Hubbard’s couples workshop today.

At the workshop "Spicing Up Your Sex life: A Tasteful Guide for Ordinary People," Hubbard uses a culinary metaphor to expand the sexual menu. It is a sensible yet humorous approach to sexuality that allows normal yet imperfect people to enhance and maintain their love lives. The four-part workshop starts with participants privately "Taking Stock" of their present sexual situation. The second part explores male/female differences in the context of "Sweet and Savory." The third part, "Expanding the Menu," applies the concept of appetizers, soup and salad, entrees and dessert to sex. Finally, "Blessing the Meal" examines both religious and moral orientations to sexuality and to the body.

Susan Hubbard, L.C.S.W., a diplomate and a member of the American Board of Sexology, is a veteran local therapist.

The workshop is from 1 to 5 p.m. today in Boulder. The cost is $75 per person, which includes a workbook. Call (303) 447-1893 for location and registration.
